Customer Reviews:
1 out of 5 stars Piece of crap, waste of money   May 7, 2010

NOTE: At the time of my order, April 2009, this product was sold by MenBat through Amazon as "UPG 71910 Starter Up 120 Jump Starter" - same picture, and the link from my order history brought me to this page.

Outwardly this product appeared almost identical to a unit I had borrowed from a friend and had good experiences with, which is why I placed the order.

I didn't need it to jump a car immediately, so I charged it and set it aside for a couple months. Finally needed to jump a car I had stored, so I pulled it out, plugged it in until it's indicators showed full charge, then tried to jump the car -- no dice, once I'd hit the ignition once it's LEDs indicated it had no charge. Connected it to a power outlet for a few hours, indicators showed full charge again. But as soon as I hooked it up to a car with a dead battery, no charge, and no jumping.

Total waste of money and time.
