You want this! July 21, 2010 S. Thompson (Novato, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoy my car, and often I'll eat my lunch while on my computer listening to my car's XM radio. Sometimes the battery gets rundown and it won't start the car. This April, I bought this Booster Pac to get me out of these jams. I gave it a full charge when it arrived, and stored it in the back of my Toyota Highlander. Four times since then I've used this booster to start my car. The car starts up fast and easy, including yesterday, three months after the last charge. It still indicates it has a full charge! I simply sit the Booster Pac on top of the battery, clamp the black cable to the battery's negative post, then clamp the red cable to the positive post, then start the car. Could not be easier! After using it yesterday, I knew I had to tell people about this little guy. Do you want a guaranty that a dead battery will never leave you stuck somewhere? Then get this Booster Pac! Easy to charge, easy to store, easy to use, and it's powerful and reliable! It's everything I hoped it would be.
Simple, Reliable, Powerful April 9, 2010 RickinRIC (Virginia USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this booster because my auto mechanic could not determine why my battery kept going dead despite being newly replaced and testing good. It was a lot cheaper than paying him to replace things one at a time until he stumbled on the true cause. It's light weight, leak-proof, and simple to use. So far I have only had to "top up" the charge once in about a month of daily use. I am planning to order these as Christmas gifts next year for other family members to keep in their cars.
They make a more powerful version, but this one seeems to have plenty of oomph for repeated use.

Very easy to charge. Bought with the volt meter so I could test my current battery's status. Feel better about having this after recent battery problems with one of our cars. I would rather depend on myself than erratic service people.
It works, but... February 20, 2010 A. Hyun 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The good stuff:
* It works
* It has a good shape/size
* It has a cutoff to prevent overcharging with the AC adapter and can be stored plugged in
The bad stuff:
* It would be nice if the cables were longer, as was noted by another reviewer
* The clamps are very bulky and can be difficult to attach to some terminals, particularly side pole terminals
* There is no safety feature to detect reversed cables
* There is no cutoff to protect from overcharging from the 12VDC socket
* There is a "fully charged" indicator light, however, the instructions say you are supposed to keep charging it for at least 4-6 hours AFTER it lights up on AC and 2 hours via VDC (which is strange advice since there is no cutoff for DC charging...)

The contecting arms do not store easily into the holders on each side. Otherwise it is great.
