| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Product Description The Xantrex Technologies XPower Pocket Power Pac 100-watt inverter is the first stand-alone mobile power solution. The Xpower Pocket Power Pack combines a 100-watt inverter with a high capacity, high output battery pack to create a truly mobile power solution. It converts 12-volt DC power from vehicle battery into 115V AC power. So if your laptop battery runs down, or you need five more minutes with your portable DVD player, you can just plug straight into the AC outlet on the inverter and keep working or watching, just like you are at home with the wall plug next to you. In addition to the three-prong AC power outlet, this inverter includes a USB charge port which can power or charge iPod, Blackberry, PalmPilots, and a wide range of other electronic devices. It features a blue LED power indicator; DC cable with a vehicle and airline connector; 3.3 Ah NiMh battery pack; over-temperature shutdown; and low-battery voltage shutdown (10.5V DC and automatic reset). This unit is covered by a 1-year warranty.

| Customer Reviews: Crappy product, crappy company. June 7, 2009 Ed lover (Yo!MTV Raps) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Battery was DOA. I hadn't used it for the first 30 days (I only used the actual inverter, I had charged the battery and it had appeared to work). Wrote to Xantrex, no response. I'll have to buy another one from some other more reputable company.
A Short Review August 12, 2006 SeibelWerks (Atlanta) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
Superceeded by:
Duracell 852-0281-07 DC to AC 100 Watt Inverter
Xantrex 813-0291 XPower Pocket Mobile Power Source 175-Watt Inverter
Big Drawbacks:
You have to unplug the DC Inverter to charge the battery.
No way to connect to a solar panel.
Small Drawbacks:
Inverter Runs Hot
Slow charging
Have used it to:
Power my laptop at a wireless hotspot
Charge my cell phone
Charge my digital camera
Does work very reliably.
